2015 Derryfield Country Club Course Renovation Project

What did the project entail?

Come Play The New Renovated Derryfield Country Club!

Derryfield Country Club completed a major renovation of the course in 2015. The project consisted of a new drainage system installed on holes 2, 3, 5, 6, 13, 14, 15, 16, and 17. Over 15 miles of drain pipe was installed to keep those holes dry during the year after rain storms and will allow the club to open 18 holes in the spring instead of nine holes. A new irrigation system was also installed on holes 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, and 18. New Greens were built on holes 2, and 3 and the greens on holes 14, 15, 16, and 17 were restored to their original size and shape. New and expanded teeing grounds were added to holes 2, 3, 14, 15, 16, and 17. New fairway bunkers and greenside bunkers were added on holes 2, 3, 14, 16, and 17. A new cart path system was added to holes 1, 2, 3, 14, 15, 16, and 17.

November 4th, 2015

All work is complete

October 21, 2015

• All drainage is complete
• All irrigation work is complete
• All new bunker sand is in and complete
• All cart paths are complete.
• Seven new bridges are installed and complete.
• Tree removal behind hole # 1 green is complete with the exception of stump grinding which will take place sometime this fall.
• Cart path paving is complete.
• Final sodding of fairways, rough, and cart part paths is under way and will start on hole 16 and work back the staging area on 17

September 15, 2015

• All drainage is complete
• All irrigation work is complete
• All new bunker sand is in and complete
• Most cart paths are complete with the exception of new bridge areas.
• Seven new bridges are being installed starting Tuesday September 15^th.
• Tree removal behind hole # 1 green is complete with the exception of stump grinding which will take place sometime this fall.
• Cart path paving is scheduled to begin on Monday September 21^st.

July 23, 2015

Things are progressing well.

The majority of the feature work on holes 2, 3, 14, 15, 16, and 17 is complete and over the next few weeks we will be concentrating on the following:

• Drainage –
  • Finishing the Collector Drains on Holes 17, 2, and 3
  • Slit Drainage on Holes 15, 14, 2, 3, and 17
• Irrigation  -
  • Holes 5, 6, 2, and 3
• The Channel work on holes 14, 2, and 3.
• Remaining feature work
  • 4 Tee, 15 Tee, 3 Tees,       17 Forward Tee, and 14 fairway bunker
