Opening Day Friday April 7th, 2023
Hello Everyone,
Guess what? The golf season is upon us! Opening day will be Friday April 7th and tee times will start at 8am. A shout out to Jeff Rader and his staff for their efforts to get things cleaned up and ready to go. The course is looking fantastic for the 2023 season!
So, this is how it is going to go…
We will open the tee sheet for online bookings at 4pm today.Saturday 4/1 and Sunday 4/2 we will have someone in the shop from 9-2 to answer the phones and take in any memberships or GHIN dues
Monday 4/3 -Thursday 4/6 the shop will be open 9-3 and starting Friday we will be open full time for the season! The Mike Ryan simulator room will continue to be open to help get your swing ready for Friday.
The one thing that I ask this season is that you make sure you make only the tee times that you need for you and your group. If you have a change of plans/players, we ask that you please call the pro shop and cancel your time. As the membership continues to grow, we want to make sure we utilize all the tee times we have.
Upcoming Sign-upsMonday 4/3: Opening Day Scramble sign-ups.
- Saturday April 22nd, 4 person scramble and a fun way to meet other members! Sign up in the pro-shop as an individual and the pro-shop will pair you up.
Wednesday Men's League
- Anyone who played last year has until Friday April 21st to confirm their spot for this year. If you would like to get on the wait-list you can also do this at the time. If we have enough teams, we may add a 3rd flight. Please let us know as soon as possible. Men's League begins on Wednesday May 10th
Wednesday Women's League
- This league is open to members and non-members. Please contact Claudette Weddleton if you are interested in playing. The league begins on Wednesday May 3rd.
TaylorMade Demo Day: Wednesday April 12th 1-6pm

Meet the Derryfield Golf Staff
PGA Professionals
Cory Mansfield has been a PGA Class A professional since 1996 and serves on the board of the NH PGA. He brings a wealth of golf experience as well as business acumen to the Derryfield Country Club. Cory previously had served as PGA Head Golf Professional at Montcalm Golf Club in Enfield. In addition to this private country club experience, he has also owned and operated a golf academy and been employed as PGA Head Professional at other courses in New England over the past 20-plus years
Ben Stone, a PGA member, has joined the DCC team to help facilitate daily activities with an emphasis on tournament operations. Along with tournament operations, Ben is available for teaching and club fitting. Ben comes to us from Pembroke Pines where he was the PGA Head Professional for the last three years.
Ian Willikens, current JV Golf Coach Derryfield School, Current JV Golf Coach Phillips Exeter Academy, Member of PGA of America since 2010, and 25 years of experience in the golf business.
Ian has been in charge of Derryfield Country Club's Junior Golf and the PGA Junior Programs.

Hi Everyone,
I hope your spring is going well and you are dusting off the golf clubs. Last week we were lucky enough to get off to an early start to the season. Jeff Rader and his crew have been hard at work getting the course ready to play for everyone. We can’t thank them enough for the work they put in!
The tournament season is coming up fast. I wanted to let everyone know that we are now taking sign-ups for the Opening Day Scramble on Saturday April 23rd. This will be a 9am shot gun that you will sign up as an individual and we will pair you with three other members. The deadline for sign up will be Wednesday April 20th.
Wednesday night men’s member league will start May 11th. Teams that played last year and plan on playing again this year MUST sign up by April 30th and be paid in full. After April 30th we will take any teams that are on our waitlist. This league WILL be full, please secure your spot ASAP, if you are not signed up by April 30th you will forfeit your spot to teams on the waitlist.
Ladies Monday night league: there will be a separate email coming out later this week with information and sign-ups. This league begins on Monday June 20th.
For anyone planning to play in member events, you will need to have a Derryfield GHIN card and season permit holder. If you don’t have one with us you can come by the shop and we can set you up with one.
Merchandise is still arriving as we speak. We are a preferred shop of TaylorMade, but do carry a full supply of Titleist, Callaway and Ping clubs. If we don’t have it we will do our best to get it for you. Supply chains are still strained, so if you’re planning on getting some new clubs, don’t wait, you may miss out on the latest products out on the market.
Lastly, I want to introduce one of my new employees to everyone. Ben Stone, PGA member, will be joining the team to help facilitate daily activities with emphasis on tournament operations. Ben will be helping Ian Willikens and I will with teaching and club fittings. Ben comes from Pembroke Pines where he has been the PGA Head Professional for the last three years. Ben will begin work the week of April 8th. Please welcome Ben and show him why Derryfield CC is so special.
Well, Jen and I are starting our 4th season here at Derryfield CC - I can’t believe how fast it has gone. We are finally going to be residents of Manchester next month as our youngest graduates and heads off to college. I can’t thank Jen (aka “The Mayor”) and the staff enough for helping me with this transition down here over the past three years. It’s been a great ride so far and I couldn’t imagine doing it anywhere else!
